Assaalmwaalaikum warah mathul lahe wa barkathuhoo,my question to Mufthi saab is 10 day and 40 days khatham permitted in Islam after a person has passed away, my understandings I believe that it isnt and only 3 days is permissable can Mufthi Saab please explain why three days is only permissable as my wife is of the belief that 10 days and 40 dats is permisssable and its becoming an on going dispute could Mufthi Saab please clear the doubts in her mind….
