(1) Islaamic History Ummul Mu’mineen Hadhrat Juwayriyyah (RA)
After the battle that took place against the Banu Mustaliq tribe, many people from the tribe were taken prisoner. Amongst these prisoners was Hadhrat Juwayriyyah (RA), who fell to the lot of Hadhrat Thaabit bin Qais (RA). Hadhrat Qais (RA) entered into an agreement with her that if she pays off a stipulated amount, she would be set free. She then approached Rasulullaah (SAW) for assistance to pay off the sum, informing him that she was the daughter of the chief of the tribe. “Should I not offer you a better proposal?” Rasulullaah (SAW) asked her. “What is that?” she enquired. Rasulullaah (SAW) replied, “That I pay off the amount and then marry you.” She was very happy with the proposal and Rasulullaah (SAW) paid the amount and married her. After the marriage, the Sahabah (RA) felt guilty to keep the family of Hadhrat Juwayriyyah (RA) in bondage since they were now the family of Rasulullaah (SAW). They therefore set free all her tribes people who had been prisoners of war. It was on account of this that Hadhrat Aa’isha (RA) said, “I have never seen a woman who had been of more service to her tribe as Juwayriyyah. It was because of her that thousands of people from the Banu Mustaliq were set free.” Hadhrat Juwayriyyah (RA) eventually passed away in the year 50 A.H.
(2) Rasulullaah (SAW)’s Miracle Curing a wound
Rasulullaah (SAW) was once having a meal when Hadhrat Jarhad Aslami (RA) arrived. Rasulullaah (SAW) bade him to join in the meal, which he did. However, because he had injured his right hand, Hadhrat Jarhad (RA) started to eat with the left hand. “Eat with the right hand,” Rasulullaah (SAW) said. When Hadhrat Jarhad (RA) informed Rasulullaah (SAW) about the injury, Rasulullaah (SAW) blew upon it, because of which it was cured and never again gave him any trouble until his death.

[Tabraani in his Kabeer 2108]

(3) A Fardh Disclosing the faults of merchandise
Rasulullaah (SAW) was once passing a grain seller and placed his hand into the heap of grain on display. Feeling that it was wet inside, Rasulullaah (SAW) asked the seller what the problem was. The man admitted that rain had caused the heap to get wet. Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “Why did you then not place the wet grains on top for people to see? The one who deceives us is not one of us.”

[Muslim 284, from Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah (RA)]

Any fault in merchandise on sale needs to be disclosed to the prospective buyers.

(4) A Sunnah The Du’aa for success in this world and the Aakhirah
Rasulullaah (SAW) very often recited the Du’aa:

رَبَّنَآ اٰتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَّفِي الْاٰخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَّقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

TRANSLATION: “O our Rabb, grant us (all that which is) good in this world, (all that which is) good in the Aakhirah and save us from the punishment of the fire (of Jahannam).”

[Surah Baqara, verse 201; Bukhaari 4522, from Hadhrat Anas (RA)]

(5) An Important Act and its Virtue The virtue of Salaah increased through using the Miswaak
Rasulullaah (SAW) stated that Salaah performed after using the Miswaak is seventy times superior to the Salaah performed without using the Miswaak.

[Ahmad 25808, from Hadhrat Aa’isha (RA)]

(6) A Sin Preventing others from listening to the Qur’aan
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “Those who commit kufr say (to each other), “Do not listen to this Qur’aan, and (if it is still recited, then) make a noise (to disturb its recitation) so that you may be victorious (in putting an end to its recitation).” So (especially because of such acts that are aimed at preventing others from Islaam) We shall definitely let the Kuffaar taste a severe punishment, and We shall certainly punish them for the worst of actions (the sins) that they do”.

[Surah HaaMeem Sajdah verses 26-27]

(7) This World The Aakhirah is better than this world
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “(When) Those who adopt Taqwa (who abstain from kufr and Shirk) are asked, “What has your Rabb revealed (to Muhammad )?” They reply (very differently from the Mushrikeen and say), “(Our Rabb has revealed) Extreme good.” There shall be (all types of) goodness (in this world already) for those who did good in this world and the home of the Aakhirah (Jannah) is certainly better (than everything of this world). How grand is the home of those who have Taqwa (Jannah)!”.

[Surah Nahl, verse 30]

(8) The Aakhirah The position of the Kuffaar in the Aakhirah
Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “The Kaafir will be so immersed in his perspiration on the Day of Qiyaamah that he will scream, ‘O Rabb! Throw me into Jahannam and relieve me from this.’”

[Kanzul Ummaal 38923, from Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Mas’ood (RA)]

(9) Cures from the Qur’aan and Rasulullaah (SAW) The benefits of pears
Hadhrat Talha (RA) reports that he once met Rasulullaah (SAW) as Rasulullaah (SAW) held a pear in his hand. “Take this, O Talha,” Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “Because it gives peace of heart.”

[Ibn Maajah 3369, from Hadhrat Talha (RA)]

(10) Advice from Rasulullaah (SAW)
Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “Straighten your rows (in Salaah) because the straightening of rows forms part of proper performance of Salaah.”

[Bukhaari 723, from Hadhrat Anas (RA)]
