Assalaamu Alaikum Mufti
Please assist with the following query. My husband and I are getting divorced due to irreconcilable differences. During our marriage we stayed with his parents and he did not provide any income for me. I worked throughout our marriage and in the last few months we bought a house which I pay the bond for and which is in my name. I currently live on my own and he does not provide any income for me. My question is would it be permissible for me to work during my Iddat and what rules would I need to apply in order to pay for my bond and monthly expenses.
