Dear mufti,
Jazakallah for all your good work. I have a job that involves doing twice as much as the other people at work. I have to juggle my time and do extra work. However petty little things are pointed out to me and there is a lack of appreciation. I receive basically the same amount as the other employees. The reason I stay there is because of the Islamic environment. Of late I have also been having a string of bad things happening to me. Some include people complaining to my face and behind my back. People not being straight forward but rather relaying the message in meetings. Thrice in one week I have had encounters with animals. A stray cat followed me upto the ladies salaah room, when I was reading 2 rakaat nafl of Zohr a pigeon flew in front of me and I broke the 2 rakaats and on another occasion (not at work) a dog came right near me which gave me a fright. At certain times of the day there is no water at work. I also accidentally broke a glass and a glass cut my inner palm. However only the top of the glass cracked. Our maid left because it was as though there was a jeen in her. She started acting strangely 2 weeks ago when I arrived back in South Africa after being away. To top that all off there was also that tremor. It has been down hill since then.
Your advice would be appreciated

These are all tests. Do not be superstitions. Read Manzil daily. Be positive. Eveything happens with the will of Allaah and Allaah alone.
