Assalamu alaikum,
Respected Mufti Sahab, this is with regard to another brother I am asking this question.
A relative operates a band in a bar. He is in partnership with another non muslim. They both collect the money which is earned by this band which they have deployed in a bar. At night the collected money is distributed between both of them as a percentage set by them at the start of the business. Now this muslim relative has managed to save some money by this band income, say Rs 5,00,000 over the years. Now he wants to earn halaal money so he spends this money(saved income from band) to buy a Massage Chair at Rs. 1,00,000/- This is a type of electronic chair in which the people sits and gets massage done by the chair through electric. He charges Rs.10/- or so per minute. He has placed this chair at a mall in the market place where he will get a good response of customers. Now from this business he has saved some amount also. Say Rs. 50,000/-.

1) He buys house hold groceries of daily use from this money. So is the money halal to buy the commodities.

2) He wants to purchase a cow for qurbani from this saved income (massage chair). Will the money be halal to buy a cow for qurbani as the source of investment to buy the Chair was haraam money; haram source. So is the income generated by this Massage Chair halal for him or it will still be haram.

3) What is the way out to make the haram money halal and white. As this person has saved a lot of money by earning through the band. So what is the way out.

please clarify and state clearly to get it understood.

Jazzak Allah Khair!
