In answer 32815, upon being questioned whether saying ‘bismillah’ or ‘bismillahir rahmanir raheem’ before committing a sin takes someone out of the fold of Islam, you gave the following answer: “When saying so while thinking Haraam to be Halaal then one leaves the fold of Islaam.”

Thus would a person still be a Muslim if he said ‘bismillah’ or ‘bismillahir rahmanir raheem’ before committing a sin but in his heart he did no think Haraam to be Halaal. He said ‘bismillah’ or ‘bismillahir rahmanir raheem’ but remained firm with the correct belief that the action was Haraam.

In this situation is the person still a Muslim because although he said tasmiyaah before the sin he did not think Haraam to be Halaal?
