surah fatiha in jamaat

Question ID: 30915

Asalm Mufti
I have a question pertaining to Sallah with jamaat. I am a Hanafi muslim. Through out my life when performing Sallah with Jamaat i would begin my salah with Thana and Audubiliah, then remain silent and listen to the imam and not read either surah fatiha or qiraat. I would not read in all four rakaa even in the 2nd two silent rakaa and either in all four rakaa of silent Sallah (Asr and Zohr)
I was recently informed by someone (who was not an alim) that this is incorrect and that all my Sallaah may not be correct.
Please advise mufti – is my sallah correct? i have performed Sallah like this for years – what should i do now?
Jazakalah Gair..
