Belief that dajjaal will have certain powers

Question ID: 32867

Someone asked the following question:
In the Quran Allah tells us that a sign for people to understand is that He (Allah) sends down rain from the sky.

However there is a hadeeth which says Dajjal will have the power in causing the sky to send down rain.

How as people of towheed can we accept that Dajjal has the power to make it rain? What different is this kind of belief to Hinduism which says that Indra is the god of rain?

Thereafter someone replied:
The Dajaal is fitna in AAkhiri Zamaan, Allah will give him this power, Allah will also allow him to cut people in half and give them life again, however this power is from Allah to the Dajal for a short while as a fitna for mankind. Allah will take this power away from him as is also stated in the hadith, that the man says that he is the last on one to be cut. So this from Qadr of Allah not Qadr of Dajaal.

So it is different to Hindu belief as hindus believe the power of rain is actually from Indra.

The answer to the question was given by a non-alim. Is this answer correct?
