Renewing imaan and nikaah after committing kufr

Question ID: 34063

I pray you are well.

If a brother emails a question regarding kufr to a mufti. The mufti replies that it is kufr.
The brother asks the mufti how he should renew his Imaan and Nikaah and what the conditions are inorder to reread his Shahaada and renew his Nikaah. So the Mufti advises him.

However, the brother then asks other Muftis/Mawlanas the same question regarding kufr. And these other Muftis/Mawlanas reply that ‘he hasn’t committed kufr’. Therefore two Muftis said he has committed kufr and the others(Majority, more than two Muftis/Mawlanas) said he hasn’t committed kufr. So then the brother decides not to reread his Shahaadah and not to renew his Muslim faith/Imaan. Beacuse he felt more comfortable sticking with the majority of the Muftis/Mawlanas answer who said that he has not committed kufr.

The brother has decided not to renew his faith and nikkah. is this ok?

2) Does thinking and asking the the local Mawlana/Mufti to conduct his Nikaah and re-do his shahadaah and then deciding that he wont renew Nikaah and Shahaada, make him a non muslim?

3) Is it kufr if the brother also verbally says that the Muftis’ who have said that he has committed kufr have got the ruling wrong and are not right and disagrees with their ruling as the Majority of the other Muftis have said that he hasn’t committed kufr?
