Putting impure hands in a bucket of water

Assalam o alaikum,Respected Mufti Sahab, hope you are well by the grace of Allah Majdahu. Sir I want to ask about purity. Suppose someone has become napak now he wants to do gusul. So there is a bucket full of water. Now his whole body is napak but no najasat is on the hands its dry, he takes a mug and puts it inside the bucket full of water and in the process the hands till the wrist is also dipped in water for taking it out. So my question is has the water in the bucket become napak also as my hands touched the water or was dipped in the water.
