Proper way of praying on a chair

Question ID: 19182

Our Imam states that when a brother prays sitting in a chair he must stand for Sujood.
In order for him to stand in Sujood he must place the front legs of his chair on the line making it impossible for the second line or third line to line up properly in line with everyone else.
I was taught that the back legs of the chair should be placed on the line and the sitter should not stand up in Sujood, thereby keeping him in a straight line with the others who are praying.
Which placement and action is correct?

The back legs of the chair should be in line with the feet of the ‘Musallees’.
The one using a chair does NOT have to stand for ‘Sujood’.
It is best NOT TO use chairs in the Masaajids.
