Pills to stop menstruation for hajj/umrah

Question ID: 32831

Assalaamu ‘alaykum warahmatullah
Women take pills to stop menstruation for hajj/umrah and it is permissible. My question is regarding taking the pill to stop the bleeding AFTER it has commenced in her usual days of habit.

1. Is this permissible?

2. If permissible, would it be correct to say that if the bleeding had been for under 72 hours and then due to the pill it stopped and did not occur again for a complete tuhr or more, then it works out for the woman i.e. the umrah/salaah done in those days would be valid?
