Passing infront of a musallee while making tawaaf

Whilst making tawaaf, it may be possible that one could pass in front of a person engaged in salaah.
What is the ruling regarding this? How far away from a musallee must a person be to be able to pass in front of him?

Whilst making Tawaaf it will be ok, under normal circumstances in a big Masjid, 1 ½ rows from the Musallee.
