Mythology class: Acting out Greek gods, goddesses and mortals

Question ID: 21760

Assalaamu’alaikum Mufti sb.
I am from USA. I am 11th grade in high school.
I got put in Mythology class which is an elective class that I didn’t volunteer for.
I am in a program where I am studying in a high school
and college classes. For that particular class, I was informed the first week that
I will need to research gods and goddesses, and act them out with a group to inform the class.
So basically taking the role of gods, godesses, or mortals.

My questions are:

1.Researching Greek gods, goddesses, mortals and reporting the findings be permissible in Islaam? The researching will be for that particular class in order to gain credit.
2. Is acting out Greek gods, goddesses, or mortals permissible in the sight of Shari’ah?
Know that this person believes in Tawheed. This person is of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah.
3. Is a Muslim who acted out Greek gods, goddesses or mortals be regarded as out of the fold of Islaam?

I asked you so that I can study in school or college Islaamically.

Jazakallaahu khair.

This lowly person is in need of duas,
