Question ID: 20556

Assalamualykum respected mufti saheb

Please shed some light.

1. Why did Allah Ta’alah ask the angels to make sajdah to Hazrat Adam (as)?

Is it not because there is a part of Allah Ta’alah within man?

Assuming this is correct, it wouldn’t mean that something is missing from Allah Ta’alah. Naoothubillah.

According to a certain person he says that this is what the Auliyah Allah were pointing to in their works. Moulana rumi, shaykh abdul qadir jilani, mansoor hallaj etc when reading their works you come to find that they are trying to tell us that there is within us a part of Allah and once we uncover that which is hidden within we will attain maarifat. That amongst other spiritual excersises. Basically everything we are searching for is within us because the Devine is within the human.

They say Allah Ta’alah cleary states that “we blew into him of our spirit”.

Mufti saheb when refuting these points if possible please give examples or proofs so that I may present it to this individual. It is very frustrating and also causing doubt to fester within myself. Are these questions answered better by those involved in tassawuf?

JazakAllah khayr

Qualities of Allaah are within man.
There is nothing wrong with that statement.

There are two types of qualities.
1.) General;
2.) Special.

1.) General qualities like mercy, love, compassion etc, Allaah has and put these in the heart of man.
2.) Special qualities like, Allaah is the only Knower of the total unseen are only for Allaah. Thus the general qualities should be developed so that we gain the ‘Ma’rifaat’ (recognition) of Allaah.
