Revival of Miswaak

Question ID: 17904

Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh!

about this hadith:

” Whoever revives my sunnah at a time when my ummah ( nation ) goes corrupt will have the reward of a 100 martyrs .”

i have a question regarding the miswak… since it is an important sunnah of our Prophet and the ambiyahs (peace and blessings of Allah be upon them) yet i hardly see muslims in my place using it, in their wudhu and anytime. the using of miswak is one of the sunnah of High Importance that is not being practiced by majority of the muslims today. Even some of Imams and tablighs that i observed in masjids that I went dont use this…miswak is available but i see very few are buying it..some muslims are even naive in them (like when i use this during wudhu, some will pause for a sec and watch what i am doing..). in my entire life i have heard khutbahs about encouraging zikr, tabligh, topis, sunnat salah and saum…etc but not MISWAK! is the miswak really not that important today?
i find this sad since numerous hadith record its importance and even in our Prophet’s(صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم)last hours, He(صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) brush his teeth with it.

So my question is:

1.)if i continue using the miswak until the day i die, will i be entitled to this reward?( as stated in the hadith)

2.)some say that the modern day toothbrush and toothpaste(which contain sodium fluoride, which the USFDA found out to be not safe and effective, and its labeling is not been approved by them) can be a substitute(replacement) for the miswak, is this true?

3.)and also is it true that by using toothbrush and toothpaste you can acquire the reward and accomplish the sunnah of using the miswak?R I know that i need to do other ammals as well, but i just want to know if reviving the miswak yields this reward.

Jazakallahu khair
