Dear Mufti Sahab
Assalaamu-AlaikumWarahmatul-lahe Wabarakathuhu
I would appreciate it if you would kindly explain in detail the procedure in wearing Ihram from the airport or the Mikaat boundary when leaving for Umrah via Saudi airways. (Inshallah we hope to leave for Makkah on the 2nd of August)
a) I was told by a friend that one has to just make the NIYYAT on the plane when it announced on the plane that the Mikaat boundary has been reached and no Salaatul Ihram need be performed? Is this applicable also for the Hanafi Mazhab?
b) Can one read the Salatul Ihram from either home or airport and then make the NIYYAT on the plan
Jazakallah for your advise. May Allah reward you abundantly
