1)Were toilets and bathrooms separated at the time of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) ?Are there any hadith narrations in this regard?

2)Since which year have Muslims adopted the practice of combining the bathroom with the toilet?

3)Some people say that due to today’s modern ‘water reticulation system’ ,the toilet is paak. Is there any Shar’i basis for this claim?

4)Some people say that the Angels of mercy would enter today’s combined toilet and bathroom since it is ‘clean’.What does the Shariah say?

5)What is the status of combining the toilet and bathroom (is it makrooh, haraam, etc)?

6)What are the Islamic benefits of separating the toilet and bathroom?

1. There were no official toilets and bathrooms.

2) Study British History.

3) Are you referring to the water in the toilet or the toilet itself?

4) What is the need of the Angels of Mercy to enter therein?

5) Permissible. Best to have an intervening wall.
6) So that activities of variant natures can take place separately. Better for modesty.
