Performing jummah salaah in an ibaadat khaanah

Question ID: 33771

AssalaamuAlaykum Mufti saahib,

We live in a the town of Odendaalsrus, Free State.

We do not have a masjid here, rather an Ibaadat Khaanah.
First Question: Can Jumuah be performed in an Ibaadat Khaanah or a sharee Masjid is required?

Second question: we are a small Muslim comminity of traders and business. For taraaweeh, we have a haafiz who comes from the nearby town of Welkom. He doesn’t have a sharee beard. I know that it is Makrooh Tahrimi to pray behind an open sinner. As we do not have any other masjid or jamaat khanah where a second jamaat takes place, do I pray the taraaweeh behind this Haafiz or complete it at home myself. It is very disturbing to me. I am very new in this town and do not want to disrupt the arrangement. Anyway, I would try to convey the meaaage to our Imam. Once a young boy with trimmed beard was made to lead us in Salaah. It feels disgusting but as jamaat salaah is important I pray the fard salaah with jamaat. But taraaweeh jamaat is Sunnat al muAkkadah so I have doubts about it? Should I pray with jamaat pr alone?

Ask the Ulema of Welkom to give a ruling after inspection in loco.
It is Makrooh Tahreemi to follow such a Hafiz you have described. Make Esha with Jamaat. Taraweeh at home.
