Question ID: 19480

My grandfather died some years ago leaving behind his wife, three sons and four daughters. Since then one son and two daughters have passed away.

The son who passed away left behind a wife, two sons and a daughter
One of the daughters that passed away leaves behind no children nor husband.
The daughter (my mother) passed away recently leaving behind a husband, four sons and a daughter.

My uncles have never shared the wealth of the deceased in accordance with sharia but now my uncle tells me that my mother gets nothing, whether sharia or not (because she has now passed away. He is not applying the same rule to the heirs of the deceased uncle.

Can you please clarify the sharia rule
