Income from being a sportsman

Assalamualaykum. I have always wanted to be a footballer I have the potential to become one, but I'm not sure if my income will be halaal. I have seen muslim sportsman for e,g Hashim Amla and others in football cricket athletic etc. So I just wanted to ask if my income will be halaal because I have an intention to use that money to start a halaal business. Please reply and thank you for making this website it has helped me a lot.

To play sport on such an international, professional level is not allowed. Focus your attention elsewhere. Allaah has not created us to catch, hit, kick and run after balls.
