Hugging after coming from Hajj

Question ID: 22439

Assalamu alaikum, Respected MUFTI Sahab, I would to know if it is correct to hugg three time a person who has comeback from hajj. What should be done and what should be avoided when someone or our relatives come back from hajj or are going on hajj. Should one greet them, hug them etc. Should the ladies must greet and hug ladies and the gents must hug and wish gents. What exactly should be done from islamic point of view.

Jazzak Allah!

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُاللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

Females should shake hands and embrace each other. This is permissible.

It is good to greet with Salaam, handshake with hands, then embrace, touching of neck side with neck side- not stomach bumping as done these days.
Then request them to make duaa. Men with men.

One is not allowed to shake hands etc. with non-mahram females and males.

وَعَلَيْكُمُ السَّلَام وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ وَمَغْفِرَتُهُ
