Horn of shaitaan;anniversary;crow

I am in favour of the Daarul uloom of Deoband,however I learnt that when Deoband celebrated 100 years of its establishment,they put Indhira Ghandi on the stage,and all the Ulama sat around her?I consider this to be absolutely wrong and request Mufti Saheb to explain exactly what transpired and why,and why did they cellebrate their anniversary when they don’t believe in partaking of such events.
