I am currently working in a company where a provident fund is compulsory.
The institution who receives our contributions invests the contribution on the stock exchange (where the companies on the stock exchange are non-Shariah compliant/ non permissible).
Contributions made are done monthly i.e. 50 % employer and 50% employee.
At the end of each year a bonus / interest is added to the total contributions made. Attached to this provident fund is also a disability fund and life assurance.
Please advice: if I were to resign and my provident fund becomes payable to me, which portions are permissible.
