an imaam often has Naseehah after the Maghrib Salah on the microphone for up to 5 min or more at a time, thereby delaying the Sunnah Mu’akaddah & disturbing the Masbooq.
Being a Deobandi scholar & bayt to a well-known Shaykh, it is assumed that his actions are permissible, but am I right to have reservations?

This is surely against the Sunnat. To delay the performance of Sunnat is Makrooh.
Some Deobandis are losing the true 'Maslack' of Deoband. Being a Shaykh or 'Bayt' to a well-known Shaykh or these days being even a so-called Deobandi does not necessarily automatically mean the person is on the right. We are living in troubled times.
