Concealing others shortcomings

Question ID: 33892

As Salaamualaikum

Should non-aalims publicly disclose shortcomings of Ulamaa and individuals in Leadership and organizations or should any shortcomings be concealed. Should any double standards of these organizations be shared with other ulamaa example with Respected Mufti Elyas, Jamiat KZN, Majlis ETC.If shared this may have repercussions for their integrity and fellowship and community support.

Can one conceal the shortcomings with the hope and intention that Allah will conceal his faults and shortcomings.

You advise in this regards would be appreciated

Private answer

If these ‘shortcomings’ are personal in nature then do not expose.
Speak to the Alim in private and make Duaa.
But if these ‘short comings’ are going to jeopardise the belief or action norm of the public, then expose is necessary provided you have concrete definite evidence.
