Consuming halaal meat

Question ID: 34221

Shukran for the answer but how do we know that the outlets concerned will speak the truth when asked. There is no proof. This is why we have Halaal bodies to investigate these issues. If we cannot trust bodies like SANHA etc then who do we trust? It would be better then to completely abstain and only eat meat that one cuts oneself.

Secondly when we are invited to meals/braais by family and friends can we consume not knowing where the meat came from? I dont think many people would want to ask their host too many questions about where they bought the meat etc..

I would appreciate Mufti reply to these concerns/questions.
