Question ID: 23282

As salamu alaikum,

What is considered clean and what is not. Not everyone is hygienic. Some people pick their noses in public then handle money touch doors, some people dont wash hands after toileting hence spread germs they touch things. If you touch something that someone touched with dirty hands does that make your hands unclean?
So what is clean and what isnt?

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُاللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

One is clean and not clean.
Another is pure and not pure.
If one touches a wet, impure substance with ones hands then there is transference of impurity.
But if one touches a dirty thing or area with the hand then the hand will become dirty not impure.
Picking noses in public and gathering will be regarded as going against mannerism and normal etiquete, in our time and era.
It could be regarded as part of life or normal, amongst certain people.
However, to play with dirt or filth is not becoming of any human being.

وَعَلَيْكُمُ السَّلَام وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ وَمَغْفِرَتُهُ
