Cannot get a divorce

Married 4 years, 11month old baby. Husband is compulsive liar. Recently he defrauded his company. I want to leave him but jamiat says I dont have grounds for a divorce. The money he brings home may not be halaal - dont know if he is still defrauding. He pays the rent & groceries with that money. How does such a man teach my son right from wrong? How do I live with a thief?
