As salaamu alaikum
. I need to ask a question regarding the will of my mum and winding up of the estate.My Mum passed away recently at the age of 92 and left a will wherein in states that all the assets must be split amongst all the siblings 2/3 to the males and 1/3 to the females.(see copy attached).
It also states that the share of my brother that passed away 8 years ago must be given to his son. The son is no longer muslim and lawyer reckons that she needs to split the assets according to the law of the country and what the Will states.
Please advise. Questions.
1)Can my brother’s son inherit? Please explain so that I can forward it to the lawyer.
2)What is your view of the will?
