Being the middle man in a deal between my boss and the client

Slmz Mufti Saheb,

I seek your advice on a matter that I am not certain as to it being right or wrong.

I work for a company that provides machinery to clients who request them.

Over the years I have befriended few clients who I give personal attention to.

These clients only call me for hiring of machines or services required.

Please can you advise me if being the middle man in a deal between my boss and the client is halal or haram without informing either party of this?

I would like to make mention that I will not cut down my boss’s money to make provision for me unless the client outright ask me for a better figure.
It is unfortunate that I cannot tell my boss of the dealing as my work is performance based and if I were to explain the situation to him, he will reduce the monthly performance contribution that he gives me.

Please advise me Mufti Saheb.

Jazak-Allah

You cannot receive a 'cut' from a deal without the knowledge of your boss.
