Attending western universities;listening to parents

Assalamu alaikum.
For a Muslim male,is it permissible to attend western universities in Europe,America etc where there is a lot of immorality and falling into sin is so easy? I know that some Ulama have said its Haraam to attend these universities as there is a lot of Fitna,what is your view?

If a Muslim cannot control and does not have discipline then one must avoid and resort to home studies.
