(1) Islaamic History The Reign of Hadhrat Mu’aawiya (RA)
Hadhrat Hasan (RA) reconciled with Hadhrat Mu’aawiya (RA) in the year 41 A.H. and handed the Khilaafah over to Hadhrat Mu’aawiya (RA). This year was therefore referred to as the year of Jamaa’ah. Hadhrat Mu’aawiya (RA) then fixed an annual allowance of a million Dirhams for Hadhrat Hasan. Hadhrat Mu’aawiya (RA) divided the Muslim army into two parts, one to fight through the winter months and the other to start afresh during the summer months. He waged 16 battles against the Romans and encouraged his armies with the words, “Strangle the Romans.” It was during his reign as Khalifah that the Muslim navy conquered Cyprus. Together with this, fortresses in Africa and Europe were also conquered as well a portion of Sindh through the battle at Sajistan. The Muslims also conquered Sudan, Kabul and reached as far as Qindamil in India. The Muslim armies also crossed the Jayhoon River and conquered Bukhara and Samarqand. The Muslims also conquered Constantinople during this time and it is this army that Rasulullaah (SAW) said will be forgiven. It was Hadhrat Mu’aawiya (RA) who prepared the Muslim navy even as a governor and he went on to erect ship-building yards along the coastal areas of Egypt and Shaam. The naval fleet he prepared to fight the Romans numbered a total of 1700 vessels. Apart from all of this, he also accomplished many other feats during his period as Khalifah, which are detailed in the books of Islaamic history.
(2) Rasulullaah (SAW)’s Miracle Rasulullaah (SAW) predictions about the Ummah
Rasulullaah (SAW) once told the Sahabah (RA) that his Ummah shall soon follow in the footsteps of the people before them to such a degree that even if any of them went down a lizard’s hole, people from the Ummah will do the same. “By the people before us, are you referring to the Jews and the Christians?” the Sahabah (RA) asked. “Who else?” Rasulullaah (SAW) replied.

[Bukhaari 3456, from Hadhrat Abu Sa’eed Khudri (RA)]

How closely do the Muslims of our time follow the Jews and the Christians? The evidence of this prophesy is no secret to anyone.

(3) A Fardh Only Allaah can assist
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “To Allaah belongs the kingdoms of the heavens and the earth (and He therefore has the right to do as He pleases). He gives life (as well as guidance) and causes death. You have no Protecting Friend or any ally besides Allaah (so turn to Him only)”.

[Surah Taubah, verse 116]

It is Fardh (obligatory) for a Muslim to believe this.

(4) A Du’aa from the Qur’aan and Rasulullaah (SAW) The Du’aa for leaving the home
When a person recites the following Du’aa when leaving home, he will be protected and Shaytaan will flee from him:

بِسْمِ اللهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى الله ِوَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ

TRANSLATION: I leave home in the name of Allaah and trusting in Him and there is no power to do good and no might to abstain from evil without Allaah.”

[Tirmidhi 3426, from Hadhrat Anas (RA)]

(5) An Important Act and its Virtue Rearing an orphan
Holding his middle and index fingers together, Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “The person who rears an orphan and myself will be as close as this on the Day of Qiyaamah.”

[Bukhaari 6005, from Hadhrat Sahl biun Sa’d (RA)]

(6) A Sin Miserliness
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “Those (Jews) who are miserly, who instruct others to be miserly and who conceal what (knowledge about the truthfulness of Rasulullaah (SAW) and wealth) Allaah had given them through His bounty (such people shall suffer terribly). We have prepared for the Kaafiroon a disgracing punishment”.

[Surah Nisaa, verse 37]

(7) This World The things of this world will remain behind
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “This is all merely the (temporary) articles of this worldly life (which they will surely leave behind them if it does not leave them first). (However,) The (everlasting and much more precious) Aakhirah with your Rabb is (exclusively reserved) for those with Taqwa”.

[Surah Zukhruf, verse 35]

(8) The Aakhirah Where people will be on the Day of Qiyaamah
Hadhrat Aa’isha (RA) once asked Rasulullaah (SAW), “Where will people be on the day that the earth and heavens will be destroyed and then recreated when the trumpet is blown for the first time?” Rasulullaah (SAW) replied, “On the bridge of Siraat”.

[Muslim, 7056]

(9) Cures from the Qur’aan and Rasulullaah (SAW) Talbina
Hadhrat Aa’isha (RA) used to advise people to prepare Talbina to treat the ill, saying, “It is extremely beneficial for them, even though they may not like to eat it.”

[Bukhaari 5689]

Talbina is made by mixing crushed barley, mixing it with milk and then adding honey to sweeten it.

[Tibbun Nabawi and Modern Science]

(10) Advice from Rasulullaah (SAW)
Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “Live in this world as if you are a stranger or a traveller.”

[Bukhaari 6416, from Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Umar (RA)]
