|(1) Islaamic History||Allaah’s Messengers and Books|
|Allaah sent approximately 124,000 Ambiyaa (AS) for the guidance of mankind, amongst whom many were Rusul. Hadhrat Aadam (AS) was the very first of them and Rasulullaah (SAW) was the last. There shall be no other Nabi to come after Rasulullaah (SAW) until the Day of Qiyaamah. Allaah had also revealed many Sahifahs (smaller books) and Kitaabs (scriptures) to the Ambiyaa (AS). There were 100 Sahifas and 4 Kitaabs that are better known. 50 of these Sahifas were revealed to Hadhrat Sheeth (AS), 30 to Hadhrat Idrees (AS), 10 to Hadhrat Ibraheem (AS) and another 10 to Hadhrat Moosa (AS). From the Kitaabs, the Torah was revealed to Hadhrat Moosa (AS), the Zaboor was revealed to Hadhrat Dawood (AS), the Injeel was revealed to Hadhrat Isa (AS) and the Qur’aan was revealed to our Nabi (SAW). Revealtion of the Qur’aan started 13 years before the Hijrah and was completed over a period of 23 years.

|(2) Allaah’s Power||The Joints of the body|
|Allaah has created our bodies so well. We have many joints in our bodies that facilitate easy movement so that we may complete our tasks with ease. We know very well what tremendous difficulty we experience when any of these joints do not function. Allaah truly is the Most Wise.|
|(3) A Fardh||Believing in the Attributes of Allaah|
|Just as a person cannot be a Muslim without believing in the being of Allaah, he cannot be a Muslim without believing in all the attributes of Allaah, since this is Fardh (obligatory). Allaah Sustains us all, Allaah Sees and Hears everything, He has been in existence from forever, He will remain in existence forever, He never sleeps and He possesses many other attributes. Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “Verily He is Worthy of all praise, The Exalted”.
[Surah Hood, verse 73]
In brief: it is Fardh (obligatory) to believe in all of Allaah’s attributes.
|(4) A Du’aa from the Qur’aan and Rasulullaah (SAW)||The Du’aa to be safeguarded against oppressors|
|The following Du’aa is to be recited regularly when one is being harassed and put through difficulty by one’s enemies:
رَبِّ نَجِّنِيْ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِيْنَ
TRANSLATION: Oh My Rabb! Rescue me from the oppressive nation.
[Surah Qasas, verse 21]
|(5) A Nafl||Reward for fasting on the day of Aashura (10th of Muharram)|
|When asked about the fast on the day of Aashura, Rasulullaah (SAW) replied, “This fast serves as expiation for all the sins of the previous year.”
[Muslim 2747, from Hadhrat Abu Qataadah (RA)]
|(6) A Sin||Immodesty and Immorality|
|Allaah says, “And (Allaah commands) that you do not draw near to immoral acts that may be open and secret”
[Surah An’aam, verse 151]
It is because of immoral behaviour that major sins are committed. May Allaah save us all from them.
|(7) This World||The home and wealth of this world|
|Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “This world is the home of the one who has no home in the Aakhirah and it is the wealth of the one who has no wealth in the Aakhirah. It is only a person without understanding who amasses the wealth of this world.”
[Ahmad 23898, from Hadhrat Aa’isha (RA)]
|(8) The Aakhirah||The first to enter Jannah|
|Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “The first people to enter Jannah will have faces shining like the fourteenth full moon. They will be pure, will have utensils and combs of gold and silver and theirs breaths will be fragrant like musk. Each one will have two such damsels whose marrow in the bones of her feet will be clearly visible due to her beauty. Both these damsels will think so alike that it would be as if they share one heart. They will also be glorifying and praising Allaah all day and night.”
[Bukhaari 3245, from Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah (RA)]
|(9) Cures from the Qur’aan and Rasulullaah (SAW)||Incurable diseases|
|There are times when people lose hope in the treatment of their diseases. It is then that they should recite the following verse in abundance:
رَبِّ أَنِّيْ مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنْتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
TRANSLATION: O my Rabb! Difficulty has certainly afflicted me and You are the Most Merciful of those who show mercy.
[Surah Ambiyaa, verse 83]
By reciting this, a person will be cured, Inshaa Allaah.
|(10) Advice from
|Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “When any of you sees evil being perpetrated, he should stop it with his hand. If he is unable to do this, then he should do so with his tongue and if he is unable to do even this, then he should at least regard it as an evil. This is the weakest form of Imaan.”
