Zuhr salaat

As-salaamu-alaikum,

I am aware that the time of Zuhr expires when the shadow of an object becomes twice its length. However in practical terms, what does this mean? Perhaps what I’m really asking is, if one uses a reliable Perpetual salaah calendar, is it safe to assume that if for example the Salaah timetable states that Asr (Hanafi Mazhab) commences at say 16h04, that Zuhr must then end at or just before 16h04? And if I apply the same principal to Magrib beginning and end times, would that still hold true?

The question is asked bearing in mind that one should not delay the performance of Fard salaah.

Jazakallah,
