As salaamu alaykum Respected Sheik

I have a few questions regarding Zakaat

1. I have borrowed money (interest free) to pay my debts & paying back the debt in monthly instalments, do I include the outstanding amount as a deduction or just the monthly instalment as a deduction?

2. There is some money left over from the loan amount in my savings a/c, do I pay Zakaat on that?

3. A relative enquired from SANZAF about receiving Zakaat & based on his information SANZAF says he is eligible to receive Zakaat. My concern is that he earns about R19 000.00 per month, owns a car, has broadband connection at home, including a laptop, cellphone but has quite a few debts though. I recentlygave him Zakaat money & I’ve heard that he had taken his family on a short holiday, down the coast. Is it OK to continue give Zakaat to this person, in this situation?

Jazakallah khairan
