Assalamualaikum
What are the rights of a husband on his wife and her parents (husbands in-laws) regarding phoning, weekly visiting and visiting during sickness? My in-laws tend to phone a lot, sometimes 4, 5 times a day. When asked not to do so, Im accused of trying to break ties. With regard to visitation, I allow my wife a weekly visit but my mother in-law is very sickly and my wife leaves to go to her bed-side a lot, cooking and looking after her mother. Is it my wives (only daughter) duty to attend to her mother because she has 3 other married brothers all living in the same house with they sickly mother. Its now becoming a problem for me.

There must be sharing of responsibility, shortly this is going to lead to untold difficulties and hostilities serving once a week is good and rewardable.
