assalamu alaykum yaa mufti. what is the fatwa and hukum on wearing a ” topi ” or commonly known in cape town as a “fez” i’ve heard someone refer to it as a ” masjid hat” . what are the virtues, rewards and importance of wearing it whilst performing salaah and wearing it at all times. alhamdulilah I thank allah for blessing me with my father that brought me up with the understanding of good morals of wearing a fez. my father is an elderly man, whenever he advises someone in the masjid to wear a fez, they disrespesctfully ask him ” wheres your daleel” and argue with him. can mufti also send me references in arabic and ahaadith in arabic regarding the fez. jazakallah
