Kindly advise what Hadhrat Mufti A.H Elias Sahib says regarding:

1. The Madrasah in Fordsburg where students of Deen pursue Deeni studies along with secular education. It is such that students qualify both as an Aalim, and with a degree or some worldly qualification, both achieved at the Madrasah along with Deeni studies. Is this correct?

2. ‘Ulama and students of Deen studying the methodology of teaching Deeni subjects by studying secular qualifications of ‘Education and Teaching’ at secular institutes. For example, a young Aalim completing a certification in Education for facilitating the teaching of Deen. Is this correct?

3. Madaaris having their curriculums of Deen recognised, certified, regulated, and approved by government authorities. In particular, the actions of JUSA and other ‘Ulama with regards to the governmental body – Health and Welfare Sector Education and Training Authority (HWSETA). Is this correct?

4. ‘Ulama who study and obtain qualifications in Islamic Studies from secular institutions. Is this correct?

Jazakallah Khair.

3) This will prove extremely disastrous in the future.
4) Why do they have to do this? Is the Alim/Fazil certificate not adequate. Why are we suffering from an inferiority complex. Generally those who obtain such degrees eventually do not serve but become ‘yes men’ for some un-Islaamic institute.
