Assalamo Alaikom,
Dear brother in Islam, I would like to asks you pertaining to greeting in islam, ” Asslamo alaikom”
is it a bid’a or haram for a teacher to teach the Madrassah children upon entering into classroom to salute their teacher with Assalamo alaikom as the moaleem says saluting to a teacher upon entering in the classroom is to gain the children’s respect. Is it allowed in Islam to teach this new idea to Madrassah pupils?
Please tell me if this is right in Islam because one of our new madrassh opened in our village are teaching this new idea by saluting and say “Assalamo alaikom” to the teacher as you know for a fact that this is a military strategies to salute your superior whenever they come around.
