Dear Respectful Brother Mufti,
I committed Zinna, sexual relationship with a woman just for one night. After that night the woman became pregnant and it has been determined that the child is mine. Alhamdulillah I have realized that I made a big mistake and i have repented to Allaah. Now as far as the child is concerned, what is the Sunnah way of raising the child. The woman is not Muslim and I want to raise the child as a Muslim. Would it be allowable for me to take full custody of the child and raise him/her as a Muslim.. Or should I allow the child to live with the mother? And what should I do since the family is not allowing me to have full custody of the child, as far as Islam and the Sunnah is involved.
