Assalaamualaikum

Respected Mufti Saab,

I apologize for having been uncivil. I shall rephrase my quey in a civil manner, and i hope to have your response.

You had seen cruel and horrific haraam acts being committed on the chickens. From your report i have understood that every act in rainbow’s slaughtering system is unilamic and not permissible– from the beginning to end now assuming that tasmiyah is recited on all chickens will it not be better to proclaim the whole slaughtering system haraam and to tell sanha to withdraw the halaal certificate. in maintaining the halaal certificate sanha is koshering the whole haraam cruel system. I have read in the hadith that once Hazrat Umar when he saw a man sharpening his knife in front of the goat he was about to slaughter hazrat umar struck him with the whip. I am sure you will accept that Hazrat Umar did not behave uncivilly. Rasulullah (Sallaahu alayhi wassallam) had also ordered that the knife be hidden from the animal. It is also common knowledge that injury to an animal before slaughtering is not permissible. While Hazrat Umar had whipped the man for one act which was not a direct act of cruelty or injury to the animal, what would have been his reaction if he had to see millions of chickens being subjected to horrific and atrocious acts of cruelty? Is it then not better to proclaim the whole thing haraam and close the door of this evil system?

Secondly, you mention in your report that all chickens while still alive are entered into hot water. Besides the horrific and atrocious cruelty this is, I have understood that the slaughtered chickens go into the hot water before their intestines ,etc. Hve been removed. We have always been taught that the chickens become najis and haraam if they are immersed into hot water before their intestines have been removed. Will the chickens not be haraam on this basis also? I await your comments

Wassalaam.

Currently you are mixing two issues -
(1) The cruelty meeted out to the chickens and
(2) The halaal status.
Via your emotionlism you are hell bent to declare the chickens Haraam.
We have raised the necessary issues with Sanha - awaiting their response.
