Asaalamualaikum
Alhamdulillah, Alaah has blessed us again and again in a short span of time
I had been breast feeding my baby(boy) when I fell pregnant again and continued to feed him throughout the pregnancy and even after the birth of our next baby(also a boy). My question lies with the duration of feeding. My son will be turning two years at the end of November this year (2012) and so I understand that he will have to stop being fed – but I am still feeding my other baby ( now four months) and this is still causing a lot of jealousy, and is proving very difficult for the older baby to accept. I have tried to stop feeding him but he still sometimes cries a lot to be fed. Can mufti prescribe a dua to make his transition (stop breast feeding) easier or maybe advice as to how to stop as I would really like to feed my last born for the prescribed two years he is entitled for as well. Can I .or. Will I be able to exceed the two years for feeding him (should he cry too too much) or will it become haram for him to feed after turning two years of age. I understand that it is the islaamic dates that need to be followed and not the English
Please advice
Jazakallah
