Assalaammualaikum Muftisap

If a person goes for Haj from South Africa, how many qurbani does he have to do? Does he have to do only the one in Makkah, or also one here in South Africa?

The sacrifice which is done in Makkah is called ‘Damm-e-Shukr’.
That is to come out of Ihraam. Normal Qurbaani is done by one who is Muqeen (resident) and has got the value of Wajib Zakaat ‘Nisaab’ in the Days of Sacrifice, 10,11,12th of Zil Hajj. If the person is a Musaafir (traveller) and also wealthy, then Qurbaani is not Wajib. If however, he does it. One will be rewarded.
