Aoa Sir, the questions comes after eid but i would like clarification for next eid and onwards in following matters:

1. I am female, working as banker and my income doesnt stay for a year in account, either trsnferred to family member or used to buy saving certificates. but i want to do qurbani for fulfillment of sunnat-e-ibrahim. do i come under catgory on whom qurbani is wajib? if its not, does optional qurbani carry same rewards?

2. i read at various places people buying goat or portion in cow for qurbani in name of Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h.) why is it done so and whats the reward?

3. if we buy one portion in cow and treat it as qurbani on behalf of deceased relatives, does one portion suffice for number of deceased ?

1) If during the day of Qurbaani, you have the Zakaat Nisaab amount then Qurbaani will be Wajib (compulsory)
2) It is permissible. Showing gratitude is a laudable quality.
