Question ID: 31750

Hope you’re welll.

I have a question regarding wearing and buying NIKE and ADIDAS shoes and clothing, socks etc. I know that the origin of the name of NIKE is an ancient greek idol/god and the logo was based on the “wing” of this false idol/God.

These days NIKE AND ADIDAS is seen simply as the name of a global sports brand.

Would a person become a kaafir by making their children wear Nike and Adidas clothes, shoes etc, or even by wearing such clothing and shoes himself or even buying and gifting clothes and shoes from Nike and adidas to others?

A person will not become a Kaafir but it is not becoming of a good Muslim to wear Nike and Adidas.
