Question ID: 30088

1. In Question #9900, you state that ‘when Muslims become Momins then the help of Allaah will come’.

But didn’t the Muslims of Egypt become Momins? In certain countries, Muslims really want/wanted to follow the Sunnah but because of government brutality they are/were not allowed to do so – they actually get tortured for doing so.

Even according to The Majlis of South Africa, Muhammad Morsi of Egypt was ousted because of Islam.

Could the true practicing Muslims of Egypt (and Muslims in other Muslim countries ruled by corrupt tyrants) be in the state they are in because of the sins of Muslims in other parts of the world (as in Allah’s punishment has descended on them due to the sins of Muslims from South Africa, UK, USA, Zimbabawe….)?

2. I have heard Ulema say that when natural disasters and mass deaths happen, it is not necessarily a punishment from Allah sometimes it is punishment indeed, but at other times it is a means of the mercy of Allah and sometimes it is just a test.

Therefore does that mean that what is happening to Muslims in Syria, Egypt, Burma and Bangladesh etc. might not be due to the wrath of Allah but rather it is just because Allah wants to test them or to have mercy on them (perhaps to give them such a reward in the hereafter that they would not have got under normal circumstances)?

3. Allah says ‘Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease’,

Allah also says ‘They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah refuses except to perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it.’

Should we take this to mean that the true practicing Muslims in Syria, Egypt and Bangladesh etc. will soon find ease?
