assalaamu-alikum
could mufti please answer the following questions for me.
1. how will my fathers estate be distributed if he is survived by a mother, a wife, a son, 3 daughters, a newly born grandson (baby still in hospital in icu – one month old) and 2 brothers (note – youngest brother not married and staying with us)?

2. my father was married before and from that first marriage he has one son (first wife passed away 28 years ago). recently my father sold the jewelry that he and my brother inherited for the cash, which my father has saved in a bank account. upon inheritance, does my brother inherit all this money as it was his mothers jewelry (we sisters do not want anything from it) and all these years my father has been saying that it is my brothers jewelry/money.
3. in a will can my father gift a certain amount of money to his brother, mother or adopted nephew?
4. two months ago my father underwent an operation on the spine, now he is paralysed from the waist down as well as diagnosed with cancer. doctor said he got only 6-9 months to live (Allah knows best ). my father has always been deeni inclined and very regular with his salaah, till today he reads his salaah even if its on the bed. what advice can mufti give my father, because he has accepted whatever Allah willed for him but i think (not sure) that he is very scared and uneasy about everything that has happened to him.
a humble request to please make dua.
jazakallah, Allah reward you.

1) Son;3 Daughters;Wife; - Imaan Abu Hanifa (R.A.)
Son gets 7/2
Daughters get 7/40 each
Wife gets 1/
2) If the brother has been given physical possession of it then it is his.
3) Not to anyone who will automatically inherit.
4) Tell him, keep his tongue wet with the Zikr of Allaah, and do not worry about the world.
