As salaamualaikum muhtarrum mufti saheb
Please assist with advise on the following. I am tasked with making announcements in the Masjid. Several weeks ago an announcement was made that a certain muslim owned establishment is no longer certified. however the main branch was not mentioned. as a result the impression given was that this branch remains halaal. i later on found out this was not the case. on approaching the aalim in charge i was notified that the announcement was not made to avoid offending any muslims. I objected saying when certification was given we announced it. the aalim said noone frequents the place so it is not necessary to announce. he later said the establishment would be closed in two weeks time so we should just leave it. i then contacted other ulamaa to complain that this was not right. we contacted that aalim who made the above comments and he denied ever saying this, claiming that he only mentioned the last excuse. I was greatly upset and called him a liar. Since there was no witnesses everyone accepted his word over mine. I am one hundred percernt sure of what the aalim said to me. However i am not happy argueing with an aalim. I handed in my resignation with regard to announcements to avoid further conflict. however the aalim now accuses me of being insincere with my deeni efforts. I do not wish to fight further and have not responded to any of his claims. Only allah knows what happened however i am definatley sure of what happened. please advise on conflict resolution.

You have done the right thing by resigning. Do not get entangled with the politics of the Ulema. Do not worry about the Alims comments. Work for Deen with blinkers on.
