Salaam Mufti Saab

I am a Muslim of Indian origin. I was born and lived in South Africa all my life and the same applies to my parents. My grandparents (all of them) are from India but moved here many years ago. I am in my early 20’s and would like to get married in the not too distant future, once I have completed my studies. My parents insist that I get married to somebody from the same Indian Cast as we are from. I have often told them, that this is wrong because they are restricting me and Islam has no nationalism. They then told me about a Hadith where the Prophet (S.A.W) said that people must get married from their own tribes. They are very strict about their views on getting married to somebody of the same cast.

1. Is this Hadith correct? Can Mufti please explain.

2. Is there anything wrong in me first securing a job and having some money before I get married, as I want to be financially stable?

3. Is there anything I can do and recite, to change their mind?

4.I am only concerned that a man’s wife must be a good wife, with strong deen and a good mother to her children irrespective of Cast. Is this correct?

May Allah (S.W.T) bless and reward Mufti I.A

Shukr, Ws
